Guise,

My wipers are stuck halfway and I can't move them by hand. When I turn them on and off they want to move but don't. IS this sticky gears? I noticed that it the other threads I read. They try to reset but don't.

robin. :)

not really as far as i know. you'll have to remove scuttle which isn't held on by a lot but the captives can spin which makes it a knob of a job.

just try them, sometimes they're ok, access is snug, think i used 1/4 drive ratchet. have had to unbolt wings and take the lot off before now,but that was one we were breaking anyway. never looked behind vents in scuttle, may be access there.

Hi again

The motor seems to turn away just fine, however, In the first pic there is a little gash in the spindle that nothing seems to slide into. IF I do not have the bolt tightened on the end the spindle turns but won't move the arm. Is this the splines are worn on the bracket? Tired motor?

THe second pic shows the little nick in the spindle if you look carefully.

Any help will be appreciated :)

I got a new motor and trailing arms, but they appear to be from a later model and the plg from the motor wont fit my old Delco one. Is there a plug adaptor?

The new plug has four pins running north south and one running east/west (earth i think)

The old one has all pins running north south

Plus: the motor spindle just turn in the trailing arms bracket as the splines are worn on the bracket, can I just put a blob of weld on or is the bracket part available separately from the wiper assembly. I'm talking about the bit that connects the wiper motor spindle to the wiper assembly. It's a bracket with a juggle in it.

Camera playing up at the mo.

Micro cat days i have STC495, but it seems to have the different plug too!

Doing my nut in. This is the only thing stopping my mot...argggh! Bloody LAnd ROvers!

might have a spare motor and arms to fit that, will have a look. came off a 'H' plate we broke. will let you know later.

Negative!!!

All the pins on mine run the same direction as opposed to the top pin running across the way. My plug is cream coloured too! That's why i thought there maybe an adapter.

I have made some progress today, but I'm not sure which direction I'm going to take!

I'll decide tomorrow. I'm out of puff!!! :)

Thanks for taking the time.
