So close to booking an MOT but without wipers its dead in the water. I've utterly confused myself silly googling furiously for the solution to this. However, I'm very confused as to various windscreen wiper setups and part numbers etc for Range Rover Classics...

This RRC is an E reg, EA chassis number, first registered April '88. I removed the windscreen wipers a longgggg time ago and probably threw them in a skip thinking "Bah, I'll just get new ones!" So the time has come, I looked up windscreen wiper arms and blades and found there's two different setups. I know I had hook type wiper arms because I later found one in a pile of bits.

One setup is where the arm is held on a spline with a nut (j hook type arms), and the other setup the arm just pushes onto the spline (pin type arm). The ones I removed from the RRC are the spline and nut type, so I ordered the windscreen wiper arms (PRC6826) and wiper blades (RTC6787).

I was under the impression that the wiper arms (PRC6826) are for later model (from chassis GA?) as they're the hook type not pin type?

So... considering all this, the parts arrived and the blades don't fit the hooks because it didn't come with the clips! So my questions are:

Are these the correct blades, if so whats the part number for the clips that attach the hook type arms to these blades? If not the correct blades, whats the correct part number for wiper blades that fit the j hook?
What setup of wiper system should an EA chassis model RRC have?
When did the wiper system change from the just spline to spline and nut setup (or other way round if I'm wrong)
Anyone clear up this confused mess I've got myself into please?

You need wiper blades PRC9841P1 to go with hooked arms. They will come with a selection of plastic adaptors.

Or just go into a car accessory shop & ask for RRC blades, they will come with various adapters - My last set was Trico & wipe very well.
