Will it be OK to run a straight through exhaust with a 2.8 TD, and a 'Pancake' or KN type air filter..

Or could it do damage to the turbo etc?? If OK, could it be legal for an MOT??

is it not a legal requirement that all engines must have an exhaust silencer???? maybe i'm talkin pish?????? stick a cherry bomb on it, there nice an cheap!

Next time you see... HEAR one of these you can pull up beside them and tell them you think their eggzorst has a hole in it and they should get it checked at kwikfit - their reaction is priceless!

I have a single silencer with a 2 1/4 inch system on the 2.8, tried it with out a silencer and lost performance.
Currently running the stock oil bath which isnt recommended for the turbo as it may cause the seals to fail, but 6000 miles later no probs.
Is yours intercooled.

No mine is not the intercooled TD, I do have the large single silencer from the Daihatsu, so will most prob fit that in somewhere.
