so why not just change it to another weekend.

Get the impression (from a mate who talked to a bloke who got this first hand from the Old Sod himself) the venue wasn't playing ball.

My first thought was that it was the cost of traffic control and policing because of the traffic chaos that it could cause at the A34/M4 interchange.
