Whine in reverse

i have a whine in reverse when moving obv and dont no what it is new brake shoes (could they be rubbing)???

seems to be ok ish in all other gears

Start worrying when your reverse gear stops making a whine, because that means it just stripped the gear or broke the shaft and it won't be reversing any more.

you should come hav a listen to my sIII with a sII gearbox in it, sounds like the box is lubricated with gravel when you reverse! still goes fine though and its ok going forward, mind you the engine is so noisy you cant hear anything!

I once drove my DEf 90 a 400 mile round trip to Leeds and back.
Wore ear defenders all the way ....
