My disco 2 has always started on first turn, but since it has got colder when fuel is getting low (below half full) It starts as before but dies after a couple of secs. Then requires a llot of turning before slowly catching and then runs fine. Keeping the tank full solves the problem!! Now I have noticed even when i fill to the top, only showing 3/4 full on the gauge?
When fuel is showing 1/4 full, starts but then dies?

Sounds like fuel draining back into the tank ....
so that you have to pump up to the engine to get it to fire ...
Check the leak-off pipes between the injectors ...
