My landy has just failed it's mot on the front wheel bearings (excessive play). When the mot tester showed me how much play was in them I was quite shocked. So if you're running big wheels and tyres then I suggest that you jack your landy up and check them! I tried to tighten mine up but to no avail, so I then stripped them out and found that the inner race was quite baggy. I have fitted new bearings and seals on both sides. Top Tip, when you are replacing your wheel bearings, take the new bearings out of thier box but leave them in thier wrapping and place them in the FREEZER for about 30-45mins, whilst they are chilling place your hub infront of a heater (propane space heater is ideal) and warm the hub for about 30 mins. Take your bearings out of the freezer and fit into your pre-heated hubs. You will find that the bearings will press into the hub alot easier this way.;)
