P38 96 diesel even though they work all contacts are good (all bulbs in back end are new today)

I'm getting random bulb failure messages for both tail lights and number plate lights.

Has anyone else had this issue? Common earth on its way? Towbar wiring possible?

Periodically I get the same from front side-lights. It is the connections where the connectors connect to the bulb holder on mine. I cleaned everything up using a mixture of salt and vinegar (baking soda in water should work too) but it still does it every so often. Everything is tired. Ideally I'd cut the lot out and solder in new holders, maybe for LED lights but that then throws the BECM into a wobbly unless you draw enough current in which case, why bother with LED? SO I go in circles and do nowt!

Right, spigot bearing today ...

Brand New bulb holders still the same.
Connectors are good.
Rear Earth points by rear seats checked theyre fine.
Towbar wiring is good both ends.
Randomly when indicating she flashes up the trailer telltale even though no trailer hooked on.
Becm connecters c323 and c325 no signs of corrosion or damp floor.
No voltage loss at the back end.
Apart from the fuel flap actuator being unplugged nothing seems out of place.
At a bit of a loss here

That fuel flap actuator turned up in another post as the suspected source of parasitic drain. There's summat odd about the switch!

There are 2 more connectors by the wheel arches I think. All dry in there?

How are the towbar electrics fitted? LR adapter into the loom or scotchlocked in? If latter did they run an earth to the chassis anywhere?

They've cut the plug and used them screw blocks.
Earth is on the black wire that should be in the lr plug and all good contacts.
Nothing out of place or corroded in the trailer socket
