You could get some defender seats, they bolt straight in using existing holes, I picked a set up for £40.

Vauxhall vectra seats have flat fitments so just a couple of holes with captive nuts. Gsi seats are recaros
Rover seats apparently too. If you look on the e place there's few really smart rover seats going through and a set of leather range rover front seats for £100

Make sure that you can still get into your Land Rover with the new seats fitted - and that you can manage without the room the seats consume. I speak from experience having purchased 2 with car seats. One had Montego seats (and its engine, switchgear etc) and a number of times I hit my head on the truck cab getting into it. Even though the seats weren't particularly large I was pushed forward and needed the small steering wheel that had been fitted.
The other was a LWB - not sure what seat it was - may have been metro - again difficult to get in and generally unpleasant - came out and standard seats fitted.

smart seats are great but not flat bottomed so will need raising an inch on box section.

I got some "deluxe" cushions from paddocks...they're fine. Don't know about all these car seats but then I'm a Yorkshireman and eshew any looxuri!

defender seats are the ones to go for really cumfy compaired to the originals and they give you a bit more leg room as the seats are on runners and the back rests are thinner so lean back more and the seat slides back more.
