I have asked this question on the range rover bit and can't seem to get a positive answer, so will try on the disco bit being as it has a disco 200 tdi engine and gearbox, what does the clutch damper do ? i dont have one on mine and the clutch seems very heavy, wondered if the damper if fitted would make it a bit lighter, or is there a master cylinder that would lighten it, its very hard work driving in town traffic and i have muscles in my left leg like incredible hulk, hope you can help

dampers(fluid) are used for several purposes, stopping harshness transmitted thru pedal,
slowing fluid return , from slave to ease engagement. some even allow for longer pedal travel to give softer feel . None give any servo assistance
