aye looks a tidy landy, right enough, ill hae to resize my pics to get them on, the pillar where your snorkel is that seems to be a common place to let water in,,,,, ma mates is the same, his is newer n lets in more water than mine used to

there is a land rover manaul how to seal up your land rover the link is on here somwhere we done them all and have no water what so ever its nice and dry

Mine used to leak through the windscreen hinges so i replaced the gaskets and bolts, now it leaks through the vents if they are not closed properly (oh and through the tops of the doors where there is a 1/2" gap)...(oh and through the top of the cab so i always have a wet seat belt)...(oh and up through the floor next to the handbrake)...(oh and through the top of the windscreen, but that one isn't so bad)...(oh and the sunroof) etc.

ok this is getting silly now. we have just had the mother of all storms and my cab filled so much i could keep fish! thanks for the advice on the sealing manual from defender/discovery. i've had a butchers but can't see it. i will go google it. ta very much

you gotta see the amount of water we are talking about here. a little dribble sure, its a 14 yr old defender, but if i wanted niagra i'd go to canada! I have the book of water ingress now, so its gonna be a long weekend with a bucket of silicone for me!
Mine has a HUGE gap at the top of the drivers door which is made worse when driving at speed as the door bounces on the seal.
At some point prior to me owning it, the door has taken a whack and dropped slightly. But rather than repairing it, the owner at the time adjusted everything to match the new dropped height, so now I can't just replace the door without some major work on my hands! Grrrr!
Just read the ingress manual from Land Rover and might try extending the seals to reach the door.
Whats Dum Dum and where can I get it??

have you checked what condition your windscreen rubber is coz mine is fooked nd water comes in through the fooked rubber i think! but i can be arsed to look properly wer its cumin from

i had a funny feeling mine had been in a crash when i bought it. the deeler said it absolutely hadn't but there was masking tape and over spray every where. again the dealer said it hadn't been repaired just resprayed. i think i have been told porkies
