Weird rubbing noise

Hi all i have a 200 tdi disco and recently replaced the swivel pin bearings and while i was at it i changed the hub bearings as well. but just recently the car has started to make an annoying rubbing noise on the passenger side hub, i was wondering if it could either be the brakes on the disk or something more serious, all help is greatly appreciated

could be a dry bearing, did you pack it with grease ?

I've had a rubbing noise on passenger side before ... traced to a bent disc mudshield, I guess mud/a rock/tree root got stuck there and twisted it. Awkward to spot without taking a wheel off, but then easy ... just bend it out the way of the disc.

well i am taking the hub to bits tomorrow, an i'll check these out cheers for the help.

Sorted out problem it was a bit of both really, bearings needed extra grease and the mud guard was rubbing on the lower part of the brake disk

Ohhhhhh! Never mind... I was hopin you had a chav wedged in your wheel arch and it was his polyester track suit that was making the rubbing noise.

I always have that noise, just have to put a bigger pair of jeans on lol
