I have INPA for my E36 but when I plugged it into the L322 whilst it connected, it came up with an error. Haven’t tried it since. May give it another go.
Plug the lead into the laptop plug into motor press button on it and that bridges pins 7 and 8 then tell it its an x5.
Since you have a 36 the pac man connector does it for you.
I run 7 e46s myself and obd reading wise if i plug the cable in as k can it will acess everything. If i plug in as dcan it will only read the engine ecu or the other way about.

I think all iv found it wont read on the l322 is the instrument cluster.

Abs sometimes takes 2 or 3 attempts to access.

@stustrong
hi there
its dwarfer from the opposite end of this dreary country
re l322 eas calibration
i and @kds now have inpa on the old laptops and we have been inputting calibrating on the inpa, do you know of any other way to calibrate it using the inpa
we are doing e53 f6 f5 then f1 add in the figures front and rear axles and then input then f10 all the way out remove lock car wait ten mins and see..
we are getting very close but after driving it it settles down.. higher than it was ?
is there another way
and after 23 trouble free miles,, warning on dash eas in active , im looking into that again tomorrow
all the best paul.

IMG_20210131_145711.jpg Does this mean anything to you @stustrong instead of F1 calibrate on INPA if you hit F2 you get this page, wording in the box is, " please input the offset of the rear axle in counts" is this another way of height adjustment with INPA.

@dwarfer @kds
Vehicle running.
Inpa loaded.
Doors shut. (i put laptop on seat and open window)
2 axle air suspension.
Callibrate height in mm (I HAVE NEVER USED COUNTS I DONT KNOW THE EFFECTS)

Rear axle first measure and if you want down 15mm its +15 if you want up its -15

Set the front near enough.

Bottom left corner theres an icon that will turn yellow.

It will adjust and stay with that saved settings and you'll see the new numbers.

Get the back perfect then the front perfect.

Adjustments under 10mm will not instantly take or move in front of your eyes.

For example say 1 corner is 5mm wrong. I move it down 10mm then up 15mm

If your still stuck find my phone number in messages and i can plug mine in at the same time

Also to add changes are immediate.
Sometimes mine sits a touch nose down and its only when iv come home and the area outside my house isn't level and off camber and i Also have 3 heavy breaking periods and 2 bends then instant stop to my house.

Everywhere else i park vehicle it sits level.

Thanks for reply @stustrong I knew about putting minus if too low but not plus, I lower the window and put a cloth on the bonnet stand the laptop on it so door shut ( I do have a OBD extension but inpa cable will reach). I have one corner that can never make its mind up where it wants to be ( 4 new gen sensors) even when parked in same place, just wondered if you knew what it did.

@stustrong
another thank you from dwarfer, i had a eas message pop up on dash again!
looked at today as the weather had improved to cold damp windy drizzle, so i had a window of oppertunity:D
i went into inpa, read analogue status, and found offending new osf height sensor,
yep it was a new one that failed, changed it to the original old part and now hard fault gone. BUT for how long!
i havent re calibrated yet, i will see what it settles down to, at the mo ive got 752s r and 763s front , but changes fter a drive.
thanks again paul.

Thanks for everyone’s input. My car is now fixed.
New compressor fitted as it was struggling for pressure. When fitted it blew front pipes off, which on inspection had been altered be previous owner and wrongly piped. With those replaced it now works perfectly! I knew it was an odd fault!

Nice one and sounds like you found the cause of the worn compressor as well:)
