As per the title really, I did a quick search and couldn't find anything :( and I'm terrible for estimating weight

I need to get an engine stand for when it comes to dismantling/ rebuilding the engine out of my series. I've found a Clarke CES 500A stand for around £40 but the capacity is 227kg. Will the 2.5 N/A diesel weigh more than that or will I have to get the more expensive 340kg stand (Clarke CES 750A)? I've also found the sealey 350kg stand, I know that the clarke ones are good but does anyone know of the sealey ones?

I know its a bit of a heavy old lump but I don't know exactly how heavy

I don't know eggsackley but from moving my 5mb engine around recently (similar block), the block is an uncomfortable lift for 2 persons so weight is probably 90 kg, head is about 25 and crank about 15. I can't see the whole thing being more than 200.

hi mate when i wouldn't risk it on the small clarke stand, I've got the larger one and it seemed fine for my 19J (about the same as the NA) the smaller one would be in my opinion quite unstable. if i was you play it safe and get the larger one. ;)
