Weber 34 ICH problem

Hello, does any one have the data for the correct float level in a Weber 34 ICH carb with a plastic (not metal) float? I have big problems with fuel flooding into the inlet manifold indicating its overfuelling. all ideas welcome,thanks!

I'm not convinced there is a difference between brass and plastic float heights - the Weber data sheets don't differentiate between the two for this carb. Make sure the valve seat and needle are clean and undamaged and the mating surfaces of the carb body are clean and flat (fuel can leak straight from the float chamber into the venturi) and you are using a new gasket set - reusing old gaskets will not give a good seal.

Thanks for the reply. This is a new (2 years) carb so I am puzzled by the problem. Anything else I should check?
