Waxoil or Rubberize?

Hi Folks,

My Discovery 2 TD5 X reg could do with the chassis cleaning up. Now I am no mechanic etc.....I just love the old gal and we work and play together. The guys at Famous Four suggested I do something with her chassis and recommended rubberizing? Now I had heard of wax oiling and when I asked about it they recommended rubberizing......thats the pro's....
Another friend thought it wasn't a good idea as rubberizing would seal in any rust and allow corrosion from inside whereas wax oiling would soak into the remaining rust and even though you would have to repeat it would only soak in more?
Me being a reasonably intelligent window cleaner can see the sense in that.......
What's your, more knowledgeable chaps thoughts?

disco 2 chassis rot from the inside out so forget about all that rubber stuff, get some old engine oil in the chassis especially at the back
