Anybody got a parts manual for a Late IIA (ie around 69-71) either to
sell, or a CD copy which I can print off

Thanks

www.landroverbookshop.com - About 34GB Pounds.
(RTC 9840CC) Probably available from dealers as well, and also most
technical bookshops.

Thanks, but I balk at paying £35 for a list of parts contained in a
IIA gearbox, which is what I need. The Series III manual which I
already have is no use for this.

Cheers anyway, but the one bit I require is the IIA gearbox, which the
III manual does not cover. Workshop or parts. I already have the
workshop manuals for 1, 2, 2A and 3, and parts for 2 and 3, it's the
2a parts book I need for the gearbox parts.

If that's the only bit that you urgently want, I think I can help but
may not be able to do it before Monday.

But, surely, someone has an Acrobat file of it out there somewhere -
come on lads and lasses!

Well, it'd be handy to have the whole thing. I thought somebody might
have it on PDF somewhere.

Perhaps I should scan it in when I get one. How well to JPG's convert
to PDF? some of the PDF manuals I've downloaded are so dreadfull you
can't read them.

Alex,

I've got the book. It's too late to start fecking about with my
scanner (it never works until just after I needed it most!) but I've
got the place to myself tomorrow night so I'll do the relevant pages
for you then.

Nag me here tomorrow evening, or I'll forget!

I'll try to get the quality high enough to OCR it. That makes it
readable AND keeps the size of the PDF down.

That's what I thought.

It's best to avoid having through the intermediate(jpg or other) step if
you can - it's twice as much work for a start. The poor quality attempts
that you have seen are the result of lack of care, poor scans etc.. It
is possible to do the job properly.

My earlier offer will not be a perfect result - I'll be a print from a
'fiche and scanned from there - but will give you something from which
to work.
