Hi all,

I got my 200tdi 90 in the winter and it did not have a fan on it and i was advised it would be fine during the winter, which it was, however now we are seeing warmer weather i think its about time I put one on.
So my question is what kind of job is it to put a fan on and what is the "viscous" unit??? can i just put a fan on the existing thread or do i need to put a viscous unit on?? If so what does the viscous unit do and again, what kind of a job is it to do??

Thanks naco1221

Right, thanks for that sean, i bought that one off ebay, it screws on fine, however it catches on the top hose going from the engine to the radiator. Does this mean the fan is wrong? Or might i just have to trim the fins down a few cm's but will this effect performance of the fan. Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks

hmm i guess il have to trim it down a bit, dont think it should have any effect on performance. thanks
