2003 TD4 Manual transmission, vibrates when driving, drive it normally and not so bad, give it stick and the gear lever shakes about and so does the car(but not the steering wheel)we have checked the following. Both drive shafts, all engine and gearbox mounts, rear diff centre mount replaced as it was worn, all tyres balanced and rotated yet we still have this vibration,oh when it has a full load it is worse and when towing its worse again?
All ideas/suggestions will be gratefully received.

HI,this is my next port of call,we are going to remove the whole unit and try it,thanks for the responce, will keep you posted

Hi bazfm

Sounds like the inner CV to me ass well.
Mine did the same and only after checking the driveshafts a 3rd time I noticed the inner CV on the passenger side was stuffed.

Good luck and keep us updated. ;)

i've got exactly the same, i've replaced the IRD (which was knackered) and have not got the prop shaft connected. I replaced the offside drive shaft as there seemed some play, but its just getting worse. The offside drive shaft is moving alot form the IRD, so i'm thinking that the shimming is not right in the IRD. we rebuild and sell IRD and VCu's and have never had this before, well not after replacing the IRD and driveshafts. This IRD unit was very starnge when we took it out, 2 bearings and a load of shims had gone that don't normally go, so wondering if the casing maybe damaged/faulty.

Boys success, nearside front drive shaft was the culprit. After using a donar shaft we had a smooth ride again. Thanks for your input.
