hi ready for the rebuild turned the engine over on the crank bolt but felt a little stiff.
is this the norm due to the size of the engine and the fly wheel and convertor on the back.
heads off ,just waiting for gasket set to come.

thanks

Quite normal, its the usual arousal in anticipation of the orgasm of it firing up.... but be warned premature ejaculation in thise circumstances is NOT good....:)

'a little stiff'... Actually that's a little loose, technically, on new bearings should be 'pretty tight' to 'rather tight' bit not quite 'bludy tight'....

If you've new bearing sin there, pre-lubes, torqued up, and everything by the book, shoulds be close enough.

We've just fitted a new short motor, and that was tight, but as much due to the preservative wax as mich as anything.

Once we had lubed the bores and turned it over a few times, it was OK and felt tighter than usual but I wouldn't have said stiff.

Started up on Sunday last, done 135 miles, running on petrol and gas (Zavoli Multipoint) and it is fine. When you turn the key off, it stops fairly quickly so still a little tight.
