I own a 2003 RR which has recently failed it’s MOT on the basis of a rotten front subframe (70k miles from new) I have replaced the subframe with a new OE ex JLR from Rimmer Bros Lincoln. Having the availability of an FKI Bradbury two post lift I have replaced the subframe with assistance from friends/amateur mechanics and an original w/s manual. The car has been situated on the lift for approx 6 months without the battery being disconnected. The car has had new front height sensors fitted a recalibration and tracking on and a new car battery. The car has finally passed it’s MOT however there is a continuing issue with the air suspension described as inactive. icarsoft diagnostics detects ECU memory error re the a/s. Any help and advice would be appreciated please. Has the flat battery damaged the existing ECU perhaps?

Yes I have tried the steering lock to lock reset but to no avail. Perhaps the ECU needs recalibrating in terms of memory loss or replacing after almost 20 years? The battery has been replaced!

Hi and welcome. If you search @Saint.V8 and calibration. There is the idiot's guide and bible from him on the recalibration of heights , where to measure from and to, etc. I think it might be in the 'how to/technical archive ' section of the Range Rover forum.
