Looking at Defender prices and they seem mad to me, one maybe just over a grand and a similar one with shiney paint and bigger tyres will fetch two and a half maybe three and a half.

Dont make any sense, I want to sell one of mine but cant decide what would be the best spec to get top price for what will be a very good Land Rover.
Going to sort axles brakes and chassis so that it will be reliable and mot able for years to come.

What about an old 90 with Salisbury back axle Wolf wheels, steering guard, new brakes, newish tyres, swing away wheel carrier, nice interior, head lamp guards and a nice paint job, recon that would fetch two and a half three grand?

I'm workin on it:)

One is a chancing dealer ...

Yeah they're all over priced at dealers, wonder if they sell?

I know what I would want if I was looking say to do a bit of green laning and maybe some offroad, it would have to be mechanicaly good so as I could concentrate on buying the bolt on bits. It would have to look nice and have a few things already on it like a centre dash, button start, cubby box, steering guard, light guards and maybe an 'A' bar with those big spots on it.:)
