My 300tdi is leaking fuel from the covered flexible tubes that go to the injectors. Number 1 looks fine (1 being at the front) but 2 3 4 are leaking. Not sure what has caused this.

The car has sat , bonnet up, for a while as I've been working on it and tomorrow I was going to get it passed its exam. Bugger.

Maybe a cat chewed the pipes? Heat? Blocked? She's run fine always now this.

Plus getting parts here is very difficult. Anyone have any advice. I'm a bit bummed out.

Hopefully the photos show the fraying to the tubes. It seems the leak is coming from those parts as the banjo connection is wet, but also the cover is soaked so I think it's running down the tubes.

if the pipes, it's not a big issue. they are just bleed off pipes on the low pressure side. if you pull em off you'll probably find they have split.

either buy the proper braided fuel line which should be available as it's used all over.. cars, lawnmowers etc or go stick on some normal rubber fuel line that fits.. iirc it's 6mm.

it just pushes on.

if you have to.. as a temp fix.. just stick any plastic/rubber tube that fits.. but be aware the fuel can destroy non fuel safe pipe and you don't want fuel squirting over a hot engine... so only do it if you are desperate.

PLEASE NO ONE DO ME THE CURTSEY OF A RESPONSE. I DON'T DESERVE IT.
:banplease:

Was panicing, posted first, searched second. bugger. buster has a great photo demo of issue. fuel leak off pipes now being bodged.
