Tyre pressure while laning?

Don't usually bother, feel the need, to let some air out when we go laning, mainly because the ground is pretty easy going.
We are intending to go to the Peak District in the next couple of weeks and some of the lanes look quite rocky.
Was wondering if it would be beneficial to let a bit of air out?
BFG Mud terrain and BFG All terrain in stock size (whatever that is, can't remember will have to check!)
Stock suspension also.
 
Thing is with lane driving you also have to drive roads between, so you cannot air down much.
To gain any real benefit from pressure drop you have to be down in the teens I recon.
Answer is air down if needed and have 12v pump handy to put em back up.

Of course that is the problem and one reason we never bother.
More concerned about damage to the tyres from stray rocks.
I guess 25psi would be a compromise between roads use and lane use, maybe give a bit more flex in the tyre or am I wasting my time?
 
I don't think I've ever dropped pressure for laning. Maybe if I was driving off road over/through a muddy field or sumat I would, but not if there's a pre existing track, mainly because I don't have an onboard air supply.

I run 28psi in my fronts everyday anyway, so 25 will give you a bit more deformity and a slightly bigger footprint than up in the 30's.
