turbo noise

hi all
ive got a 200tdi in my disco with larger intercooler fitted and the boost on the turbo has been turned up.
but recently in have noticed that the whineing, whooshing noise is getting louder starting at about 1500 rpm to a screach at about 3000 rpm, i have always been able to hear it but its getting worse
any one got any clues please

Check your hoses and the intercooler itself for splits or cracks.

just cheeked and the top hose has a big hole in it, looks like the blades on the altinator has been catching, is'ent much space between them,
should have cheeked first but i always think the worst nowing my luck

Nice one. You'll no doubt notice an improvement in performance when you've fixed it too.
