Hi, in my renovation journey I'm looking at the fuel storage of my 109 ex-military, and it's hard to understand everything happening to the car. First, the car has 3 tanks, not all of them are easily accessible or usable.
The car has 1 fuel tank in the back accessible by the side of the car; it's the main one and for now the only one connected to the fuel system. The other 2 are placed like a lot of other land under the driver and conductor. The first issue with those is we have custom seats installed by a previous owner and those are bolted into place which makes future refueling impractical.
Second problem with those 2 tanks is I have no idea if they could be used again, let me show you with some pictures
The first tank under the driver is locked by the custom seat install and after that the fuel cap is damaged, so it hammer time. And after that the fuel is orange so maybe red diesel or old rusty diesel, also it doesn't smell like diesel (the car was bought almost 10 years ago and the fuel was already there)
The other tank is easier to access and the cap isn't locked down but the filter is rusted and the fuel is a strong yellow.
I have no idea if it is worth trying to use the 2 front fuel take in addition to the back on, or if they are usable and also would it be better to switch back to the original seat or keep the more 'confortable' seat. Any advice is welcome.
