Transferring Sat Nav Data

Hi

I have a 2005 Range Rover Vogue and am just about to take delivery of a new Range Rover TDV8.

Does anyone know if the memory points in my old car can be transferred to the new car, both models have the touch screen and the DVD reader in the boot appears to be the exact same model.

As usual, my local dealer (Shukers, Shrewsbury) says it cannot be done but I have a feeling that they just say that anyway and can't be bothered to look into it for me.

As far as I know there is no quick way of loading memory points.
I talked to a Land Rover Experience guy once who had been involved with setting a fleet up for a press launch,and he'd just had to sit in each vehicle tapping away.
He did recommend having the engine running, as the Sat Nav can take a lot out of the battery
