Trans oil cooler diesel

Hi,
is there a thermostat in trans oil cooler circuit?

It appers that my cooler is cold when the gear box is hot to touch.

Is this a manual car?

I changed my cooler recently, and it had two thermostats/sensors on the side which weren't referenced in RAVE (1999 2.5 DSE Auto). I did take some photos and video at the time which I'll upload if I can find them.

One is for fan switching the other for over temp warning. Early models only have one for temp warning. (No fan fitted). The OP needs to expand on the location of the component he is referring to. And also say which model his vehicle is Auto or Manual.

So your oil cooler is located behind the L/H/S front bumper cover. If you don't have a gearbox overheat problem forget about it.
