Ya see.....................The Mad Hat Man finally bought a proper tratta (cuz we TOSSER's pestered him onna count of having had a Hippo, then a slitty & we wanted to go laning without him worrying about his 'plastic' bodywork or having to give him a fkn lift, so he bought a ridiculously cheap series truck cab with a 90 petroil lump innit, which has tried the patience and talents of all involved, then by supreme effort of all those within driving distance of B/stoke, and a few without, who all contributed something to resurrect the infuriating pile o' **** into a truck for MHM that can actually reverse up a hill thru' dense overgrowth & drive 4ward thru' some fairly intensive terrain and deliver it's owner home in one piece, albeit with his false teeth in his lap, all of which I think is fair testament to just how fkn good this forum achally is) & this evening we actually took it out, tried to break it & it wouldn't.

Now that is why LZ rox!

It definitely earnt it's spurs tonight - given it's track record, if what happened to it tonight didn't break it, I'd reckon it's problems are largely behind it.

It coughs a bit at idle - most likely timing, although Daft's new monica of "Running Rich" is very well earned, if you have to follow him for more than a couple of hundred yards you've earned yourself a really good excuse should you run into the back of him - I'm sure more petrol come out of the exhaust than it's actually burning - so maybe it's that.

But the fecker works! Judging by what it had to do due to a small navigational and combined eyesight problem this evening, it's a right little goer too ;)

Oh, what you mean onna count of 'Running Rich the petroil guzzling bitch' being half blind, senile & jest plain daft & us stupidly following the foolish ol' pillock blindly down an overgrown footpath ya mean? :rolleyes:
 
Yeah yeah yeah... those were the reasons... but what it actually did, reversing all that way, trying hard (but failing) to push a tree over etc etc. on it's fifth lane of the evening, was pretty impressive for something we thought we might be towing home half way down the first lane of the evening.

Aye ye's are good un's:D Last time I got a scratch on the hippo was with sum wee ned and a key, £300 tae fix it:mad: but on the other hand, I managed a few other scratches mesel' that got fixed at the same time:D
I'm glad I was directed tae this site and like ye say it rox. Bin pickin' up sum real handy hints:cool: just waiting to get back up the hills tae see how it feels like after changing all the bushes and the back ball joint thingy. Canny wait:D :D
