Is there such a thing as an out of balance torque converter??

I would of thought if bolted and spaced it corectly cannot be out of balance ??

That's what I thought been told to turn it on the flex plate I havevhad a rattle for two years now changed my flex plate becuse that was knackerd but its Noisy when cold . Changed oil twice now over the years including filter but it still seems to rattle when cold . No Sign of contamination still there when warm but no where near as bad clueless no slippage slight flaring when cold other than that all is well?

Data its defently with the box no Noise what's so ever in nutral from engine it rattles just before each change more 1 2 and 3 less silence on lock up but as I say when warm say after say 10 miles it settles

When the V12 Jag engine came out, they ended up restricting the rev limit to way below the designed capability of the engine - the reason given was the specified torque converter for the (Borg Warner 35?) transmission was only balanced up to 7K rpm. So it seems torque converters do get balanced.

Well, the torque convertor is still rotating in neutral and if the rattle occurs on shifts I'd say either the insides of the torque convertor are falling apart or there is a problem in the box. Where's your trusty stethoscope?
