Lifted the bonnet for the pre-MOT glance (it's on Thursday) to see that
the nearside end of the top plate on the radiator has become detached
from the end piece of the rad - looks as though the soldering has
fractured). It is not impossible that this has been the situation for
some time. There are only faint signs of weeping from the core at the
very top at both end pieces. If I squeeze the top hose the rad bulges
up slightly.
Obviously I'm going to buy a new rad from those nice people at Paddock
but in the meantime do you think it will fail the MOT test?
BIG <sigh>
TIA
Richard
PS why do rads always cause problems in cold weather when they should be
under least stress???
