Top door stud

Hello I have ex military defender with series doors top and bottom etc. and returning the doors I managed to get the top off the bottom after one stud broken My query is. Is the stud removable from top door too by accessing inside after removing the glass and channel ?? Or is the stud with two threads on both ends ??

Refurbish I mean

allso only be able to get to it if you open up the side panel on the door top then weld it back up

studs welded into the thin bottom panel, just chop out with a grinder

I did this too. Only way to get it out is to drill it and tap the hole. It's a pain in the #### and those studs are so hard to get a hold of sometimes too

Thanks guys. I will have a go and see how I get on. The driver side was ok. Reason for this is to put rubber seal in between top and bottom. The studs was removed via bottom so I'm guessing nuts is captive inside the top one. I think the army did a botch job putting it together on the passenger side. Cheers
