To disco 300tdi airfilter question

Hi guys

Just getting a few ideas together whilst i was at my ex's today painting the outside of my garage and getting rained off so decided to put a few parts together from when we broke my mates 300tdi disco last year and had a few parts left over that didn't sell and keeping for our s111 swb to 200tdi when we get it which are radiator cage, intercooler, accustic cover, and the airfilter.

my question is will the 300tdi airfilter fit in the engine bay of a s111 with a 200tdi engine in it, i know i have done a s11a swb to 200tdi before but i used an early defender 200tdi airfilter and if need be i could use that idea again buy with the 300 airfilter being square it mite fit and look better, what do you think

should fit, i am in the same position at the moment just wondering what air filter to use on a 200 tdi in a series three, probably have a walk around scrap yard see what i can see, but i have ended up with loads of room in the engine bay

the best size and shape airfilter in my opinion is the 90na one with the three legs removed, i've used it in both my 88" bitsa and my '65 109, it's slightly shorter than the disco 200tdi filter so can be fitted in easier in different places, after i took the picture below i fitted my airbox on the passenger footwell

that big square plastic box filter is awkward to fit anywhere and even harder to make it look like a nice fitment

i don't even use the disco expansion tank on the cooling, the best expansion tank i've found so far is from a Rover 75 saloon/estate car
