Things to look out for when buying a freelander

Can someone let me know or point me to a post of things to look out for when buying a used freelander?

Useful to know what year, engine etc. But a 5 second search reveals this for Fl2

Welcome to the zoo. Depends what age and version you are looking for really. We need to look into you bank account to see if you can afford a Freelander. Please send a cheque marked C.A.S.H. to the LandyZone Moderator . No seriously if you seen one there can be a myriad of advice forthcoming. Make sure there are Hairdryers in the boot.

Thank you both for you’re reply. I’m looking for a cheap 4x4 to put the dog in rather than having him in our other cars. Also would be good to use it up the farm when we go to look after the birds so needs to be good on and off the road.

I was looking at Jimny’s to start with but there a lot of f1 around at very cheap price. It will be the third vehicle and will not be used much more than dog walks and around the farm
