Hi all,
This has probably been done to death but I'm confused!
I'm about to repaint my 90, was originally Shire blue (I think) and had been over painted yellow in the past. I want to go back to Shire blue, or as near as.
I've been reading about Tekaloid and am a bit confused as to wether it needs thinning or not, some say yes, some say no.. Anyone have experience of either, or both?
Also what is the nearest to Shire blue they do without having to get it colour matched.
How much would I need?
Thanks in advance
Richard

Hello, I've used tekaloid in the past on boats. Never thinned it but preparation is key for a smooth finish. I use a trick of putting the whole tin in a bucket of boiling water as it then contracts when it is applied and cooled, pulling any brush or roller marks out.

Use very thin layers, ensure that the primer you apply it too is either white or a similar colour to the topcoat and no uneven colour from thin coats of primer. Loads of layers and very fine sanding and you will have perfection.

Colour charts are easy to get with a little googling, I'm on myphone at the moment so It's a bit of faff.
