Evening all new to this forum and new to landrover i have recently purchased a td5 manual 2000
My gearbox this morning had turned into what i can only describe as a spoon in a soup bowl.i have decided to explore the problem removing the top of the gearbox .the problem i have is the yoke and ball have gone.i have fished about with a long magnet and found the retaining clip but no joy finding the ball.will it matter if it is left in the bottom of the gearbox is there an easy way to get into the bottom of the box.??
