My disco TD5 has a problem where I can lose power (vehicle has an ECU remap and it feels like it sometimes reverts back to the original ECU settings). I have removed and cleaned the MAP and IAP sensors. I unplugged the MAF sensor (was full of rubbish when I had a look inside) and it made no diff at all. Could the MAF be dud and the ECU gone into 'limp home' mode?

when my TD5 was chipped, the MAF let it down...

the guy put it on testbook and it should have been reading 54 (dont know the Units!) but it was reading 34...

he changed it for a new one there and then, relieved me of about 70quid, and now she flies... worth changing!

MAF is located on the air induction pipe after the air filter box and measures air flow and the MAP is on the inlet manifold and measures manifold pressure
