Must have knocked the cable out of it at some point.

Unclear as to how it should be reconnected into the plug body.
Looking at the plug its unclear if the metal that you can see should be there, looks the same as the cable end im trying to put back, so im wondering if its from a previous event and broken off and has been just left in place with the cable just pushed in?
Anyone know how the plug body and cable end with the female spades should be connected together?

Much appreciated if you do, cheers.

So I now know the bit inside the plug is meant to be there.
Still don't know how to push the cable and clip in the other bit.

That's the offending little chap, tiny poxy little pain in the arse, very hard to get the other section clipped in as its a pain to work on it in the engine bay. its about 8mm long, best hope I don't drop the thing!

had a mare trying to connect the two metal parts of the plug so bit the bullet and cut the cable off. had the two metal parts on a bench, tweezers, jewellers screw driver, loads of light, still a ball ache. Pushed, levered and pulled, finally got the thing back together, reconnected the cables with a bullet connector and some shrink sleeve. Sorted.
