TD5 Light bulb muncher!

My S2 TD5 has recently started to munch through light bulbs, it just keeps blowing them! does anyone else suffer from this?

I am starting to replace them with LED sets from ebay in an attempt to quench it's appetite...

check the charge rate, alternator might be overcharging

You don't say which bulbs are blowing. Could it be that the bulbs which have started to blow are headlights and sidelights. Could be that they've reached the end of their life together and are popping off one by one. Bulbs are quite voltage tollerant but it wouldn't hurt just to put a volt meter across the battery with the engine running fast, just to make sure the alternator isn't pumping out too much voltage and doing damage to more expensive electronics.

I've had my TD5 Disco for 5 years and 96k miles. It has had very few bulbs replaced, but maybe 4 or 5 in the nearside rear. I have put this down to clumsy passengers banging the rear door shut!

My Disco TD5 (2004) eats headlight bulbs, now on my 5 set in not quite 3 years !!

Any ideas

The other bulbs are all original
