hey all,
ive got a bit of an issue with a customers TD5. they had it towed into us after a mobile mechanic had tried replacing the injector seals and now it wont start. the problem we have is that if the genuine landrover replacement copper washers are used (as a single) then the engine will hydrolock?. because the other guy had recut the injector seats (and said he didnt cut it by much) we decided to try and double up the copper washers. with it this way we can get it to keep spinning but not fire, even after 6 purge cycles and an injector purge. removed the second washer again and once more it hydrolocks. everything has been checked by 4 of us over and over and over...... just wondering if anyone has any idea if cutting the seats could cause such a problem?
personally i have replaced many TD5 injectors and seal jobs but have never had this happen. we dont believe the seats are cracked as the sump dosent show signs of diesel.
any help will be much apreciated
cheers all
