TD5 clutch bleeding, finally came up with a system that works

I’ve never been able to get a perfect clutch pedal on any of my TD5 Defenders, l’ve always got it to work but there’s been a bit of free play in the pedal before it does anything.
On my 110 the biting point has always been low, l’ve bled it numerous times both forward and reverse.
It always works better if you wedge the pedal down overnight afterwards but a bit of play has always returned.

So, l finally got it to work.

First bleed the clutch, after that it will work but there will be the usual low biting point
Then wedge the pedal down overnight (doing this causes any air in the system to be absorbed into the brake fluid)
In the morning it will seem fine, but you need to then BLEED IT AGAIN straight away to replace the fluid with fresh non-water contaminated fluid.
This is what l’ve never done in the past.
Otherwise the pedal will develop a bit of play again after a day or two. It will be OK but not perfect.
When you bleed it the second time it will miraculously be perfect and will stay that way.
Don’t take my word for it, try it and see.
My 110 has never been better in the 60,000 miles l’ve driven it.
