Hello everyone! This is my first post, so be gentle:cool:

I recently bought a used 2000 TD4 Auto (LHD by the way).

I already had HGF, which is rather strange, or not, since I noticed that when I picked it up, the coolant was way over the maximum level on the expansion tank. hairline cracks started to appear, coolant loss, etc.

Anyway, when they fixed it (under warranty - and not an official LR dealer), I asked, since they were going to be with the car for a few weeks if they could have a look at the Cruise Control. It has the console switch and the paddles. The light comes up on the panel but it simply doesn't work.

The CC is still not working but since then the brakes have been acting strange:confused:

As I am braking and coming to a full stop, the pedal lifts up a bit as if the ABS was kicking in!!

Any ideas?? I really can't trust the local mechanics to figure it out (it's under warranty)

Thanks in antecipation for any replies :)

Don’t know about fixing your problems, but you’ll feel the abs pumping though the brake pedal when it activates. You can test this on loose ground or grass by braking shapely.

Thanks for the reply. I know that the ABS is working properly, as is the HDC and TC. However, the problem is that the pedal pumps on normal road with very soft braking and when it's almost coming to a stop.

I haven't been able to figure out in what conditions it does that:confused:

Has anyone ever had that sort of "problem"?

Thanks!
