When it was going so well...after the rear Window probs of a month or so ago.
Just noticed about an inch drop in coolant - probably over the last month or so - it's a TD4 (02). It's never dropped at all in 3 yrs.
I also notice Friday night coming home from work demisters not working that well nor the heating (not that it ever been that great!).
No gunk in oil - so hopefully not head gasket. Checked for obvious leak on pipes rad - but nothing visible.
My initial thoughts are heater matrixm but reading around this is usually accompanied by damp foot wells. Both a dry as a bone.
There was also an unexplained "fishy" smell a few days back (gonna get some stick for that!).
Is it possible there is an internal small leak in the matrix or the pipes feeding it without the "damp footwell"?
Not sure what else it could be?
Matrix looks like a dash out job - just want to be sure before I turn it over to the mechanic as I've no time to sort this at the moment.
