td4 clutch master refit

just put an engine and box into a 54 reg td4 used the clutch master cylinder from the replacement engine so didnt have to reconnect it to slave but went to floor so i changed it with the one off the engine i had just removed, i know it was a good working unit but still hits floor, will go into gear with a fight:fighting2::argue:

has it got to be bled????

only very min fluid loss ie what was in the connector when removing.

the engine and box i know was running fine and had no probs with gears

Yep, but you will probable need to use a hand on the pedal as the return spring doesn't quite lift the pedal from the floor.

keeping the reservoir topped up is a bit of a pain, I fixed a pouring tube to a clean plastic bottle.

thanks chaser that worked, but pedsl seems really high, its about 2" higher then the others and travels atleast this before any contact is felt
