td to 200 tdi

im swaping my 1989 td for a defender 200 tdi will i have to make any changes to the wiring for the heater pluges and alternater?? thanks

heater pluges = no - dont need them anyway on a 200 unless its like -10
alternater = yes , change to rings terminals not plug

You can use the TD alternator, but I think that it needs to be packed out to align the pulley correctly & spun round a few degrees (not done it, but there's one done like that a few miles away from me).

I wonder if it would be possible to fit a connector block and use the tails from the original loom and the 200 alternator....? I might try that on mine when it gets done.
