Back story
A while ago before Christmas, i got a flat in work and had to get the RAC out who also checked my oil and said i had none. So i got 4 liters and filled her up with 4 more. And thought nothing off it, as i dont really use the old girl to often, and assumed it had all leaked out.
This week
I took her out at the start of the week and noticed something was not right but did not know what, so i thought i would check the oild and see although its been about 6 months since i filled her i have prob done less than 1k miles.
So i checked the oil level and it was down to nothing again so i filled her up and now she is making a tapping sound, I got my mum to listened to it, and she said something about it might be the tappets, thou i have no idea what they are?
Have a had look round and its def something in the engine as it does it when its standing still and i can not see any thing knocking, gets worse the more you rev it and sounds very metallic.
Also blows white smoke on start up which means she is burning oil i think...
Any way here is a youtube video, you can hear it on here just about, it stands out most when the engine is revving down.
Hoping a more attuned / experienced ear might be able to help with diagnosis?
