Hi,

Does anyone know the symptoms or signs of a Knackred Fuel Injection Pump on a 2.5 DSE Manual?

There's your answer. Iceberg ! Poor hot starting is a sign of wear.

yes it is,but weren't they all a bit iffy even from new?

how many miles has it done,mine has done 123ooo miles,and it is a dse manual,with no mods.
not even a hot start fix yet lol

I've got 2 P38's, one with 103K the other with 162K both FIP's are fine with no hot start problems. I've seen reports of close to 300K on the same FIP.

it shows they can do it,but you have to look after them,and that is the same for most if not all vehicles

Sigh of relief...grabing hold to the biggest piece of wood I can find...

Turns out it wasn't £700 FIP fix but a 5p pipe fix. See My other thread for details "2.5 DSE flat engine no power" for details.
