Maybe a few clues would help :)
What car?
What warning message?
Is the battery fully charged and reading at least 12.6v?
It's a Range Rover Vogue, Year 05. Stood over-night, Battery 12.8v and had been regularly charged whilst it had been stood for 6 months. Warning message says "HD inactive"

Thanks for the sarcasm.........I'm new to Range Rovers and their electronics.
We do a good line in it here. When you drive a Range Rover no matter the trim level*, be it Vogue, or otherwise, you need a thi k skin, a good sense of humour , lots of sarcasm , and a second car 😉

* sometimes it's handy to state which model you have, not the trim 😉 See. There's that sarcasm thing again. 🤣

Hi all, yes I meant HDC inactive. I tried the lock to lock with engine off and the problem disappeared for quite some time (and mileage) but returned yesterday......it seems to perform this "trick" on one particular road (which is a bit bumpy).

I believe the bmw inpa software that is about £70 for a cable and software will work on your year which will save you a lot of money in garage bills.
