Bushes, Springs and shockies.
My FL1 is the K series 1.8 petrol. It gets most use on sealed roads and isn't often loaded to the max [hardly ever!. I love to do NZ greenlaning - not so much mud around here though!
The suspension is st'd but is 17 years old. I'm wanting to fit a lift kit as my winter project.
Re bushes: LR original [rubber] Vs poly bushes. Do poly bushes allow increased road noise transmission into the cabin?
If I want a slightly firmer ride would fitting L series springs and shockies do that? Are they a straight swap? I know that the Diesels are slightly heavier [100kg?] so I guess the front springs will be a bit thicker to carry that increased weight. Are the rear ones the same as the petrol 1.8 ones? With my motor being lighter would I get a slight lift in ride height too?
