So I was out in Scratchy at the weekend and noticed that 'ees a bit hard over speed ramps. I had noticed that 'ees looking a bit down in the nose recently but on closer inspection there's only about 2" suspension travel before 'ees on the bump stops.

So the springs are shot and I'm pretty sure the shocks have had it too.

The on fast right hand bends there's a very interesting steering wobble, feels like we were going to do some impromptu off-roading!

So I'm going to replace the springs, shocks and steering damper.

- I've gotten these +2" Terrafirmas off-of ebay.
- Going to go for standard height HD springs ('ees got yellow Sh1tpart HD springs on the back and handled 1 ton of turf quite nicely). Not sure what make to go for on the front.
- Terrafirma steering damper, won't bother with the RTC one as I won't be putting big tyres on (canna afford them).

Is it worth putting some -2" turrets on for that extra articulation?

Anything I'm missing? :scratching_chin:

Fanks all...

I've not had great experiences with TF steering dampers (the rest of the their kit seems good though) I stuck a post up on another forum and the general concencus was to go with OME steering dampers.

What is your 110 used for? HD springs on an unloaded pickup could make a very stiff ride.

I do a fair amount of fetching and carrying for work (I'm a gardener), we've got a couple of big stonework projects coming up so I'll be picking up some tonage from the quarry. I'll also be adding a winch bumper once I get around to it.

Thanks for the feedback on the steering damper, that could save me a few quids!

Got some good advise from the guys at Mailorder 4x4. They said the shortened turrets really aren't worth it for standard length springs, dislocation cones aren't necessary unless I'm going very extreme, which I won't. So I've ordered a pair of Bearmach HD springs, rings and an Armstrong damper off 'em. Hopefully it'll all be here tomorrow and I can get it fitted...
